International summits
During my career in international news, I’ve been deployed to cover international summits around the world - including those held by the UN, NATO and the G20.
I’ve always found it interesting how these meetings work and how leaders make decisions which are likely to have a huge impact on the rest of the world. I’ve travelled to Geneva, Brussels, Bali, India and Kazakhstan, among others, to cover decisions taken on refugees, the war in Ukraine, Sweden and Finland’s NATO membership applications, the war in Syria and also on the global economy.

I was deployed to the NATO Leaders Summit in Madrid in 2022 when Turkiye, Sweden and Finland were still negotiating over how Ankara would give its support to their membership applications. I was there when a last-minute agreement was made and led the live coverage on air on TRT World.
